About Our Therapists

About our Founders

Kelley Mount, Ph.D., L.P.C.

Dr. Mount earned her Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy from St. Louis University in 2003 and has a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis. Dr. Mount has been in private practice since 1996.  She has specialized in the treatment of children, families, individuals and couples.

Dr. Mount previously provided consulting services for the Ferguson-Florrisant School District in the Early Education Department, and is a Missouri State Approved LPC clinical supervisor. Although not currently teaching, Dr. Mount has over 12 years of experience teaching counseling and psychology at the University level and has worked as an adjunct Professor at St. Louis University and Maryville University.

Dr. Mount has a great deal of experience working with children, adults, and couples.

When working with young children, under the age of 12.   She prefers a family therapy approach with young children and often integrates play therapy techniques. She feels that it is critical to incorporate work with parents because therapy is short term and in her opinion, long term change that occurs at the family level can be more powerful.

Adults often seek therapy to address a variety of issues, including anxiety, life transition issues, and developing greater work life balance.  Dr. Mount works with adults ages 24 and older.

She also enjoys working with couples to strengthen relationships and improve connection and communication.   She enjoys working with couples who are interested in resolving a particular issue, or would just like to improve the overall quality of their relationship. Counseling can be an effective way to resolve conflict and improve your general quality of life.

Personally, Dr. Mount is the mother of  two adult boys and has been married for the past 27 years.
